Frequently asked questions
What is the standard trade ratio in OGame?
The reference ratio is 3:2:1 (3 metal = 2 crystal = 1 deuterium). The rules allow trading between 2.5:1.5:1 and 3.5:2.5:1; trading outside that range is illegal if the higher-score player comes out ahead.
Can I receive resources from a lower-score player?
No. Receiving resources from a player with fewer points than you is pushing and is illegal. If it happens, return them immediately and report it to a Game Operator.
What is the deadline to complete a trade?
OGame's rules set a maximum of 48 hours to complete the trade.
How do I trade safely with strangers?
Post the deal on your community's official forum (it serves as proof), and when receiving, time your fleets to arrive shortly after you get the resources. If trust is low, split the trade into interleaved parts to limit your loss if the other side defaults.
